RBGE Florilegium
Call for entries 2020 – The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) Florilegium builds on the Garden’s existing botanical art collection to create a permanent, visual record of RBGE’s botanical & horticultural work. Botanical artists worldwide are invited to create works featuring or inspired by the plants that are grown, collected, studied & named by RBGE staff. Following the successful launch of the Florilegium at the 2019 BISCOT Exhibition artists are invited to submit works for consideration for the 2020 collection. The RBGE is grateful to the James & Eve Bennett Trust Fund for their financial support of prizes for the Florilegium. Botanical Images Scotia – BISCOT – 2019 exhibition is almost here. It is at the John Hope Gateway, RBGE, (Entrance via Arboretum Place) from Wednesday the 5th to Thursday the 20th of June 2019. It is open from 10am to 5pm daily, closing earlier at 3pm on the 20th of June.

Botanical Images Scotia (BISCOT) at Gardening Scotland took place from 1st to 3rd June 2018 at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. There were a few SBA artists with paintings there in a group exhibit. It transfers to the John Hope Gateway at the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh and reopens to the public on 6th June 2018 to continue until the 21st of June.
