Sally Bunker has just had the launch of her book “Portraits of Trees of Hong Kong and Southern China” which she has spent 7 years producing along with Professor Richard Saunders and Chun Chiu Pang of Hong Kong University. This coincided with an exhibition of some of her originals from the book at the University gallery. The book has been described as a ‘crossover’ book, being both an art book, a scientific textbook, and a very readable account of the trees and their features and uses. Janie Pirie will soon have a new book out called ‘Rosa – A Life of Roses’. All originals from the book will be exhibited at The Mall Galleries from 5th – 10th November 2019.This is Rosa ‘Comte de Champagne’. A new book called Botanical Artistry is out at the end of January by Julia Trickey SBA. This book is the first in a series called Botanical Art Portfolios featuring different botanical artists. It will be followed later in the year by a book focusing on Dianne Sutherland’s beautiful sketchbook work.
Gael Sellwood SBA has a new book out now called “The Measure of the Year – seasons in an artist’s garden.” It is available at Gael’s exhibition on at the moment in Cambridge and also direct from Gael.
