Iceni Botanical Artists’

Iceni Botanical Artists are delighted to be exhibiting their work in the Lady Chapel, Ely Cathedral this Autumn. The theme – “Celebrating the life of Queen Etheldreda: Herbals and Harvest – relates to the Cathedral’s own celebration of 1350 years since St. Etheldreda first established a monastery in Ely in AD 673.  The exhibition, which runs from 29th September until 13th October, will not only feature paintings related to Etheldreda, but herbs from the Cathedral’s recently planted Physic Garden, and  Harvest Festival which is happening at the same time. Floral Art – Reawakening

Lockdown through the eyes of a Botanical Artist “We’re back !!  Not only are Iceni Botanical Artists back in Bury St. Edmunds, but we are also back with a live exhibition on 16-22nd October 2021 in The Guildhall. Just like all art groups throughout the past eighteen months, IBA members have been kept apart by Covid19 restrictions.  However, artists everywhere are fortunate and often thrive in solitude and peace and quiet in order to allow the creative juices to flow.  Botanical artists have been even more fortunate, as they depend upon the natural world for their inspiration. Iceni botanical artists

Iceni Botanical Artists, several of whom are also SBA members, will be holding an exhibition at the Apex, Bury St.Edmunds in Suffolk from 13th August to 10th September 2018. Work will range from botanical illustration to loose and free interpretations of the plant kingdom in all mediums.
