Young Botanical Artist Competition

The Shirley Sherwood Collection has set up a Young Botanical Artist competition. There are still a few months left until the deadline of 30 April 2023. ⁠ The theme is trees and the top prize is the chance to win up to £750 and have your work exhibited at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery in Kew Gardens from September. Jacksons Art prize 2023

The Jacksons Art competition is now open for submissions. With an impressive expert judging panel, two London exhibitions, a first prize of £6000 + £1000 Jackson’s art materials, plus 15 other awards – one of which is botanical. Jacksons Paintings Prize 2022

Jackson’s Art Supplies have announced the launch of the seventh international Jackson’s Painting Prize 2022. You can now submit entries into the painting categories and there is one for botanical art. There are some great prizes and the Press Release can be viewed here. Submissions close on the 1st of March so there’s plenty of time to plan.

Make Your Mark Competition 2021

SBA Fellow Peter Roberts has just had this beautiful silver Phalaenopsis orchid accepted into the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office ‘Make Your Mark’ competition, a prestigious event which is held annually in London. An announcement of the winners will be made on the 26th April 2021. Several of the selected pieces will be on exhibition in the Goldsmiths centre until the middle of May 2021. Peter is a retired Engineer and credits his wife, a Bridal Florist for his interest in flowers and plants.
