Congratulations to Gael Sellwood PPSBA who has had another painting added to the Shirley Sherwood Collection, an Iris on vellum. Gael is also showing work at the Cambridge Contemporary Art Gallery in Cambridge.
SBA Fellow Marianne Hazlewood has an exciting summer ahead! If you are planning a trip to Scotland, these exhibitions are worth checking out! She will be exhibiting her work at the , which has been running since 1982. Pittenweem is tucked away on the Fife coast and has been a festival hub for artists each August, attracting visitors year after year. As well as showing in galleries, artists show in fishermens’ cottages, basements, fishing sheds… wherever there is an available space! This year she will be showing alongside silversmiths Tracy Wilson and Claire Roche. Janie Pirie SBA Fellow has a solo exhibition coming up in Hadleigh, Suffolk with a preview on the 21st July at 6.30 pm. The exhibition will be free to enter and open for two consecutive weekends but not during the week. You will be able to see what she has been producing in her studio for the past three years. Janie will be in residence on both Saturdays, giving demonstrations on how she works in coloured pencils and achieves her finished pictures.
Sheryl Pape SBA Fellow has a solo exhibition on now at Gallery 30, Petersfield in Hampshire – on until July the 17th. The opening night was attended by William Selborne of Blackmoor Estate, who allowed Sheryl to study the trees at his orchards and provided Gospel Green cider which is made by the Champagne method. There were also musicians playing during the evening and it all went extremely well. William, himself made a short speech about the Blackmoor Estate produce and bought a painting of the ‘Delsanne ‘pear which is a round pear that he grows in his orchard and particularly likes. – Sheryl is now working on cherries that are ready for picking this time of year and has created an exhibition that is… Read more

On the 18th May 2025 Botanical Art societies from around the world are coming together to celebrate the medium of botanical art with a truly international exhibition. This exhibition follows the highly successful, inaugural, World Wide Day of Botanical Art – 18th May 2018.
