Frequently Asked Questions about the Rhododendron, Camellia, Magnolia Group Competition 2027 in collaboration with the SBA.

• The competition is open to all SBA members, regardless of where they live – not just UK.
• There is a link on the RCMG website about gardens that can be visited to see these genera:  www.rhodogroup-rhs.org/activities/rgs
• There is a size restriction of a maximum of 60cm x 90cm (framed size).
• All mediums are accepted apart from digital artworks. The criteria is that the artwork must be botanically accurate and aesthetically pleasing.
• There will be a separate link to enter into this competition – It will be issued to members by SBA email after the AGM 9th September 2026. It is entirely separate from the Plantae 2027 submission form, so an SBA member may potentially submit 5 paintings to Plantae and 3 to the RCMG competition (8 in total).
• Images submitted must be of good quality and the recommended size is 300 dpi, or having a length of at least 1200 pixels.
• The winning work must be available for exhibition at Plantae 27 in the Mall Galleries and for sale. Work submitted to Plantae 2027 in the RCM generas will NOT automatically be entered into the competition. It is up to the artist to submit paintings to the RCMG competition link.
