Exhibition in Salerno, southern Italy, from 16th Oct. to 1st Nov. The venue is in the historical palace of the XIII th century (Palazzo Fruscione) located in the old town center.
The title of the showcase is ‘Le Stanze dell’Arte (The Room of Art), which involves twenty artists who have their own solo show set up in one of the palace rooms. The theme of the exhibition is the 2030 Agenda where the Artists are called to express on one of the many points the Agenda aims to address, such as: Persons, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.
Enzo Forgione SBA jas directed his attention to the Planet, the title of his exhibition is ‘In Viridia immersio‘ a Latin title meaning ‘ Immersing in Greenery and Nature‘.
In viridia immersio
Immersing oneself in greenery and nature virtually dissolves the separation between the individual and the natural environment, allowing to get a state of inner peace and harmony. The works exhibited aim to engage the viewer in an immersive—rather than merely contemplative—experience, designed to forge an emotional connection that transcends the need for words.
In this context, the magnification of the painted subjects serves a specific purpose: to focus attention on details that often escape the observer’s notice, prompting them to reflect on the uniqueness of Nature and the imperative to protect and preserve it.
My artistic practice focuses on botany and on aspects of visual perception—specifically ‘patterns’, that permeate our surroundings, either in the geometries of our everyday urban environment or, above all, in the apparent disorder of Nature. Highlighting this uniqueness is therefore essential to fostering reflection and raising awareness in an era marked by increasing environmental degradation caused by human activity.
