Digging for Victory

Join gardener, writer and broadcaster, Matt Biggs, for an evening talk exploring the contribution that the RHS made to the Dig for Victory campaign. From the back garden to the public park, Matt will bring to life the stories of the gardeners who came together to feed the nation during WW2. Best known from his appearances on BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, Matt is also the author of numerous books on gardening and gardening history. The talk will take place in the RHS Lindley Library and includes the opportunity for a late evening viewing of the public library and the Library’s current exhibition Dig for Victory: Gardening to Feed a Nation.
