Our open annual exhibition was a great success, with good visitor numbers and sales. Our DLDC (distance learning diploma course) had a fantastic display there with such a high standard of work from our graduates. The students also had a guided trip to the Chelsea Physic Garden in London and then Course 17 had its graduation ceremony in the evening. Congratulations to all our students. It’s been a busy week!!

Annie Cassez, SBA Fellow has recently been busy working for a Belgian agency in charge of advertising the re-opening and centenary of the Massart garden, one of the oldest and most interesting botanical gardens in Belgium. This important garden was established in 1922 for the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) by botanist Jean Massart and landscape architect Jules Buyssens. Annie made drawings of plants and everyday modern objects to show an interesting mix of the contemporary and the old and these fabulous posters are being shown all over Brussels. The sponsors are ‘Bruxelles environment’. massart E Jardin Massart
