Susan Hillier

Susan is originally from Surrey, but now lives, works and gardens in Cornwall. She studied fine art at Art School, and has been a professional artist ever since, working in various media. Her love of plants has led her to specialize in botanical painting and drawing. Susan is inspired by nature, also painting feathers, bones, eggs, pebbles and many other natural history finds, as well as plants. She loves colour, line and form, and enjoys various media, particularly watercolour and coloured pencil. She believes in working direct from life whenever possible, and enjoys sketching outside.
