Biography
I have loved drawing since I was a child. I initially studied Advertising and then Printmaking in University. Following this, I pursued a 20-year career in teaching art at International schools worldwide.
I have always had a passion for plants, as my father was an Agronomist and an avid gardener. My passion for plants and painting, motivated me to study Botanical Art through the Society of Botanical Artist (SBA) Distance Learning Diploma Course (DLDC). I graduated from the course in 2018 with a Distinction.
I have recently been accepted to exhibit at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Botanical Art Show in London.
I am a founding member of the newly established Botanical Art Society (Singapore) BASS, a Fellow of Society of Botanical Artists and a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, USA. I reside in Singapore and love the variety of tropical plants which inspire me to draw and paint regularly. I paint in watercolors and am inspired by the colours, patterns and bold forms of the many tropical plant around me.
