I am a Korean Botanical Artist who has majored in Oriental Painting for Undergraduate studies currently residing in New Jersey, US.
By chance, I was fascinated by botanical art, plant beauty and delicate painting, so I completed a professional course at University Education Center in Seoul and became a painter in earnest when I received two awards at the contest.
My talent and sense of accomplishment I learned in middle age and it was a wonderful opportunity to regain myself.
I like the sound and texture of coloured pencils, so I usually draw with this medium. I love to draw various plants through the observation of interesting compositions, unique points of view and consistently studying the mysterious colourful expression and abundant texture of plants.
I just want to enjoy my work and draw artwork that I can be satisfied with.
Starting with the 2019 Gold medal in The Botanical Artist Society of Korea Competition, I am continuing to participate in various international exhibitions in Korea, Taipei and the United States.
