Originally a freelance interior and graphic designer involved in the design of shops, offices, hotels and trade exhibitions, I selected all colours and materials, anything from rough tiles for a restaurant, to shimmering silks for a luxury apartment. A full time artist since 1990, I am still interested in colour and texture, working with soft pastels and experimenting with mixed media. During the last few years I have been particularly interested in exploring the effect of light and reflections in my pictures.
My flower pictures have been reproduced by many publishers on cards and prints and are now sold worldwide. Many flowers and garden images produced for my one woman show in New York were used for calendars and prints with an associated range of merchandise in the USA. My work is shown in London at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery where I shared a two person exhibition for 12 years. My work is in many private collections in the UK and around the world. Many of my images have been reproduced in art books and magazines.
