Kathleen Baker

Kathleen Baker studied Botany at Birmingham University, UK, and taught Advanced Level Biology for over 20 years.  During this time, research work led to Master and Doctorate degrees.  Upon retirement, Kathleen used skills of keen observation and attention to detail, developed during her botanical training, to produce accurate drawings of plants.  She has attended many Masterclasses in Botanical Art given by well-known artists such as Josephine Hague and Pandora Sellers. She is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists and exhibits in its exhibitions, in London.  Her paintings have been included at the Palmengarten exhibitions in Frankfurt and at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.  She has been awarded two silver medals by the Royal Horticultural Society and four gold medals by the Alpine … Continue reading Kathleen Baker
