Ji-young Kim

In my teens, I studied fashion design, and in my 20s, I was drawing different lines through my architecture major, but I continued to work with pens. Now I’m interested in handling coloured pencils.

I majored in landscape architecture and became interested in plants as I think it’s beautiful to observe plants, but it’s also in its heyday. I wanted to take pictures of plants, so I started to do Botanical painting. I am also inspired by time, place, and memories with people, so my paintings give me a glimpse of my memories.

I hold a national qualification for landscape architecture and plants. Through small exhibitions within large Korean companies, it was possible to inform people about the field of botany. In the future, I want to show people not only my story but also the appearance of plants in Asia about the four seasons.
