Cucumber Biography
Diane’s work is mainly in watercolour but she also uses graphite and coloured pencil and ink, and works on paper and vellum.
Diane studied Biology at University and went on to work in International Banking, but has always been interested in painting and drawing. She has completed the Society of Botanical Artists Diploma and continues to paint and learn in this exacting discipline. She also illustrates subjects such as butterflies, dragonflies, shells and found objects.
She is also an experienced calligrapher and potter, and has exhibited her porcelain work at a number of local exhibitions. Recent ceramic work is botanically themed with monochrome hand painted images.
Diane has taken part in Surrey Artists’ Open Studios for several years, showing both artwork and ceramics.
