Cheryl Wilbraham RHS SGM, SBA

.

Biography

After A levels and an Arts Foundation course in Derby, Cheryl studied Technical and Scientific Illustration at Blackpool College and began her professional career as a commercial illustrator.

Based in rural South Derbyshire, Cheryl works from her studio where she paints for exhibition and to commission. Working in watercolour and other water based mediums she is inspired by the colour, structure and form of botanical and other natural history subjects. Preferring to draw and paint from life if possible her aim is to produce images which are vibrant and technically accurate but not necessarily highly detailed.

She sells her work nationally and internationally with the SBA and through other galleries and shows as well as teaching botanical painting and general watercolour in the Adult Education sector and running her own programme of Botanical Painting workshops.

Cheryl was elected to full membership of the SBA in 2010.
