Charlotte Linder

Charlotte was born in Sweden where she studied Civil Engineering.

After moving to the UK she studied for her Certificate in Botanical Illustration at Leicester College and has also participated in short-courses at Chelsea Physic Garden, London.

Charlotte is a member of Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustrators, LSBI, and The Society of Botanical Artists, SBA.

She has exhibited her work in Westminster, London and at Palmengarten, Frankfurt with the SBA.

With the LSBI she has exhibited at various locations in the UK such as The Shirley Sherwood Gallery at Kew Gardens in London.

Alongside these she has also exhibited at the RHS London Flower Show, where she has been awarded bronze and silver medals for her work.

Charlottes’ work is included in The 14th International Exhibition of Botanical art & Illustration at the Hunt Institute in Pittsburgh, USA.

Composition plays a very important part in her work and she always tries to find new and interesting ways of arranging the subject on the paper. Even when she is not painting she is always looking for a plant, fruit or vegetable which has a personality or movement that inspires her.
