Biography

Charlotte was born in Sweden where she studied Civil Engineering.

After moving to the UK she studied for her Certificate in Botanical Illustration at Leicester College and participated in short-courses at Chelsea Physic Garden, London.

Charlotte has been a longstanding member of Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustrators, and became a member of The Society of Botanical Artists in 2009.

Composition plays an important part in her work and she always tries to find new interesting ways of arranging the subject. She is always searching for a plant, fruit or vegetable with a personality or movement that inspires her.

She has exhibited her work with the SBA in Westminster Central Hall and the Mall Galleries, London, at Palmengarten, Frankfurt and Real Jardîn Botànîco, Madrid.

With the LSBI she has exhibited at various locations such as Burghley House, Stamford and The Shirley Sherwood Gallery at Kew Gardens, London.

Charlotte has been awarded Silver medals by the Royal Horticultural Society and her work is included in the Hunt Institute for Botanical documentation, USA.

She also designs and produces Prints, Greetings Cards and other products using her images, which she sells at Galleries and online.
