Biography
Anna Suprunenko was born in Russia but she now lives in London.
Plants and nature have always been her inspiration. She has been interested in botanical art since 2014. She was happy to learn the basics of botanical art for two years with her mentor, Alexander Viazmensky, in his workshops in the Botanical Garden of Saint Petersburg.
By drawing her favourite plants, she tries to convey their natural shape, texture, and colour shades as accurately as possible. Through her botanical works, she helps people to feel and appreciate how beautiful and diverse the kingdom of plants is.
She is a Fellow Member of the Society of Botanical Artists, a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California. Anna has had her works selected for the SBA Plantae Exhibition and ASBA’s 20th-22nd Annual International Exhibitions.
Her artwork has been shown at various exhibitions in the UK, USA, Russia, Italy, and South Korea.
She received the Jurors’ Award at the Botanical Art Worldwide Exhibition “Flora Russia”, and the Certificate of Botanical Merit at the SBA Plantae 2019.
She also took part in the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show 2019 within the group of Russian Botanical Artists and received the Gold Medal.
