Sara Anne Schofield FSBA
Biography
Sara Anne Schofield is a founder member of the Society of Botanical Artists. Her awards include two Gold Medals from The Royal Horticultural Society for her paintings.
She studied at Twickenham College of Art and her earliest work was at The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. She has had numerous exhibitions, three of them in London. She has shown with major art societies in London and at many provincial galleries, frequently with subjects other than flowers.
Sara has pictures in private collections world-wide. Her work is represented in The Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation in Pittsburgh, U.S.A. and The Shirley Sherwood Collection of Contemporary Botanical Artists, also an international collection. In recent years she has produced designs for a large number of plate collections, several of them Royal commemoratives and has published a number of archival quality prints.
