Biography

Born in Buckinghamshire in 1967, Amber graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts at Canterbury College in 1999.  She lives in Tunbridge Wells with her husband and their four children.  A visit to Kew Gardens inspired her to take the botanical route in 2003, and she takes the opportunity to visit botanical gardens when travelling, for example The Orto Botanico di Palermo in Sicily and the spectacular Harry P Leu Botanical Gardens in Orlando, Florida.

Amber’s work has been accepted at exhibitions including Chateaux Des Reaux in France, Florum in Sevenoaks, Charing Art Festival and various other local venues.  She was delighted to become a full member of the Society of Botanical Artists in 2009.  She also gives talks to schools about life as an artist, and demonstrating her work.

Amber’s work include paintings, drawings, prints and greetings cards.  Her current focus includes autumnal subjects.  She has been experimenting with mixed media to seek new and exciting ways to convey botanical subjects.
