Biography

Christine has been a botanical artist for over fifteen years.  Having studied art at school and after bringing up a family, while administering the family business she returned to formal study at Capel Manor College, Enfield where she received tuition and inspiration from Christabel King.  Always seeking perfection she attends courses at Madingley Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge University Botanic Garden and The Chelsea Physic Garden.

She aims to produce botanical studies that are true to the plant, its structure and identifying features, while creating paintings that have movement and style.  She usually works in watercolour on hot pressed paper to achieve exquisitely detailed results.

A member of the Society of Floral Painters and an associate member of the Society of Botanical Artists, she has sold extensively and has shown at the following exhibitions:

The Society of Botanical Artists, Central Hall, Westminster

The Society of Floral Painters

The National Trust Mottisfont Abbey

The Society of Women Artists, The Mall Galleries, London

Arden Gallery, Buntingford
