Paul Fennell BA(Hons) SBA
Biography
Paul obtained a Fine Art Degree from the University of Leeds and also holds a postgraduate Certificate of Education. He teaches drawing and painting in all media at local Colleges but is also a professional practitioner in a variety of genre, painting anything from murals to book illustrations.
He became interested in botanical painting in 2000 at which time he started exhibiting with the SBA in the Open Exhibition where his arresting style and use of colour attracted the collective eye of the Selection Committee, resulting in fast-track membership of the Society - a very rare occurrence.
Paul's work has been published by various magazines and featured in the Artists' and Illustrators' Magazine.
Awards:- Cert Botanical Merit 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2006, St Cuthbert's Mill Award 2003
