Biography

 

Margaret qualified as an Art teacher in North London and taught in Surrey Schools for many years. 

 

She continued to paint in her free time and has exhibited in London at the Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery, Westminster Gallery and the Menier Gallery, Southwark. 

 

She became a member of the Society of Botanical Artists in 2003 and is also a member of the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Graphic Fine Art - The Drawing Society, of which she is a Council Member. 

 

Subjects include architecture, landscapes, people and flowers All her work has a strong emphasis on drawing and she uses a sketch book constantly. 

 

Margaret has enjoyed teaching various techniques in watercolour, gouache, ink and acrylics to adult groups for more than twenty years.  She also leads workshops, demonstrates to art groups and organises painting holidays.
