Changing Seasons – Digital submissions application process
Please read carefully before proceeding.
To apply to the annual exhibition and to submit your work you will be required to:
Firstly, register on this site as a new user. Once registered you will receive a confirming email with your login information. If you are already a SBA member who has registered with this site, please login to your account first, before you begin the apply process.
Secondly, complete the application form for digital submissions via your ‘My Account’.
The form will ask you for your contact information, qualifications, images, title(s), medium, price, and dimensions of works to be submitted. Please spend time getting this material ready before you start the process of submission.
Images: Good quality images form an important part of any application process, being key to how your work is assessed for selection. We require clear images that represent the quality of your artwork. Please supply images as jpegs, at a minimum resolution of 150dpi. We cannot accept tifs, gifs or psd formats. Please size and title your images before uploading with your name and title of work. Sizes of images should be approx 1500 pixels on their longest dimension (width or height). Maximum file size of 3mb. Please read our Creating quality images of your work document for more information.
Number of Works, Costs and Payments:
You can submit up to 5 images (at a cost of £18 per work for non-members) though we may only hang 4 works if you are not a member.
Members: please note – In order to receive the free uploads as part of your SBA membership, you will need to log into your account on this site in order to submit your application, using the registered email address and password already set up. You will have received a separate email to your registered email address relating to how to set up your password.
Payments are processed via Paypal. At the end of the online form you will automatically be transferred to Paypal to make your payment. You do not require a Paypal account to make your payment. All debit and credit cards are accepted.
We accept work in the following categories: pictures, sculpture, miniature work, glass engraving, ceramics, jewellery, carving, metalwork etc in watercolour, pencil, coloured pencil, pastel, oil, gouache, mixed media, hand pulled prints. Photographic work or giclee prints cannot be entered as original artwork. The main content of artwork must be plant related. Subject matter may be life-size, reduced or enlarged.
Once submitted you will receive a confirming email that your application has been received.
Judging for pre-selection will be completed by 11th August when you can find out if you have been accepted by logging into your registered account on this website. A reminder email will also be sent out on the 11th August to your registered email address.
If selected, you will then be required to bring in your work/s for physical selection together with the entry form on the Receiving Day of 11th September 2017 to Westminster Central Hall. Full details will be provided at the time of announcing the selections.
Timetable for application process – from submission to hand-out
1st June to 1st August – Digital submission open
11th August – Notification of results of digital submissions
10th Sept – Receiving day for pre-selected works – for Members only (3-6pm)
11st Sept – Receiving day for pre-selected works – for non Members (11am-4pm)
12th Sept – Final selection of work
12th October – Private View, 11am-7pm
13-21st October – Exhibition open every day, 11am-5pm
23rd October – Collection of artwork, 11am-5pm
